Vitality

I stand.

Cold wind blows through my hair
Hard rain stings my cheek
Clouds roll dark above me.
Vitality.

The pain of awareness intensifies.
Lightening stabs in sharp relief.
Trees bend & crack.
Mortality.

LIFE. So harsh, majestic
It takes a razor’s edge
To slice through to
Reality.

The sting of blood
From a thorn driven deep
reaches my consciousness,
Awakens my

Vitality.
